The Bible is Truth

Put simply, we believe whole-heartedly in absolute truth, and are convinced that it is found in the pages of the Bible.  This means that some thoughts about God, truth and the Christian life are better than others; and we seek to hold the best (and by best, we mean most Biblical) thoughts possible.  On the whole, we seek to be rigorously Biblical in all we do and think, not because this puts God in our debt, but because we love the God who put His perfect self-revelation into the form of comprehensible writings.

It is our purposeful and stated goal to use the Bible to help one another on the path to Christ-likeness.  We believe that Jesus intends the process of transformation to take place in the life of His disciples through understanting and applying the Scriptures, and that this happens by the power of the Holy Spirit. This transformation results in doing the things that Jesus and His apostles taught in the BIble.  The more we mature in our faith, the more our lives look like the Spirit led person as described in the Scriptures.

Jesus said to them, â€œIs this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do notunderstand the Scriptures or the power of God?

          Mark 12:24

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

            Colossians 2:8

For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.

            1 Thessalonians 2:13

If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceitedand understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.

            1 Timothy 6:-3-5

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires.

            2 Timothy 4:3
